About the Author; Bonnie Taylor

After graduating with a BS in Business and a minor in Economics, I worked with one of the top ten US Banks in financial services for 4 years and decided to go back to school for education. After identifying that education was my passion I designed curriculum to meet the needs for financial education in the district where I was working. While teaching I encouraged students to compete in local and state competitions such as the New Jersey Consumer Bowl and The Federal Reserve Challenge. During this time I discovered that students had little exposure to financial education at home. Students were entering high school and for the first time learning about saving and investing. Seeing the need for early awareness I decided to write this book. In our current economic climate it is important that we start the conversation early with our children.
